GNSS status menu

For receiver checking purposes GNSS status menu is available. Depending on the receiver type user can check if GNSS reciever is working properly.

Press this button to enter GNSS and IMU status menu.

Summary screen

Depending on selected receiver type this screen may differ. This example shows screen for RTK PRO2 and RTK PRO3 receiver types.

In this type of GNSS receivers there are two GNSS modules inside for position redundancy. User can see status of each receiver separately in the coulmns.

Number of sattelites represents the number of sattelites which are used for position calculation.

Precison is estimated by the GNSS modules. Since estimation is based on uncertainty then in very difficult GNSS conditions this value may be not real. GNSS module if has not enough data or the sattelite signal is very poor then it may casue false precision calculation.

Correction age is the time from last corrections received from the reference station by the GNSS module. If this time is increasing then it means corrections are not received by the module or module does not receive sattelite signal.

Corrections source is common for both modules and it depends on settings in Correction source menu.

NTRIP bitrate is representing how much data is transfered from the NTRIP service provider (NTRIP caster). This value confirms that there is a connection with NTRIP caster. It will be 0 kb/s when there is no sattelite signal or, no internet connection or settings of correction source is incorect (wrong user name or password).

NMEA and NMEA 2

On this screen you can find what NMEA data is available from each GNSS module.

If communcation is ok then GGA, VTG and GST data frames should be present here.

HEADING

Heading is current value of heading

Heading data can be 0 or OK. When OK then GNSS module confirms that heading data is calulated properly.

Heading quality can be: DGPS, FLOAT and FIX. The best quality is FIX and when it is not FIX then system is switching to heading values from IMU but only for certain ammount of time.

Heading corrections confirms if GNSS module receives corrections to calculate heading proeprly.

RTCM

On this screen there is a list of received RTCM messages from the NTRIP caster.

IMU

This menu shows IMU readings and it presents these readings on the cross.

This tool can be very useful for verification of IMU readings and IMU calibration settings.

When IMU settings are ok then point on the corss should move accoridng to the vehicle pitch and roll.
